(1)You may have heard that August was really hot in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius this year! The reason for this is, of course, heat of the Sun (temperatures were over 30 °C) and also a week-long camp where almost 60 people from different countries had been working on how to improve the society by scientific means (the theme of the camp – "Science for Society"), delving into Lithuanian traditions and customs.
The participants could experience lots of different planned and improvised events, namely scientific presentations, creative workshops (discussed in menu's ISSC'10 section), excursions throughout Lithuania, national and international evenings featuring traditional folk dances, fun, games and much much more...
