Latest news | 2010 08 15: ISSC’10 – the final day (1)

You may have heard that August was really hot in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius this year! The reason for this is, of course, heat of the Sun (temperatures were over 30 °C) and also a week-long camp where almost 60 people from different countries had been working on how to improve the society by scientific means (the theme of the camp – "Science for Society"), delving into Lithuanian traditions and customs.

The participants could experience lots of different planned and improvised events, namely scientific presentations, creative workshops (discussed in menu's ISSC'10 section), excursions throughout Lithuania, national and international evenings featuring traditional folk dances, fun, games and much much more... If you want more information about the adventures of the young scientists in Lithuania, our website's news section contains the full coverage of every day in depth and lots of photos – everything is ready for you to relive the camp and feel its' atmosphere once again!

And finally, if you somehow missed the opportunity to participate in the camp, do not worry – just make sure you apply for the next year's ISSC'11 in Denmark!

Farewell and good luck!
ISSC'10 team
